Celebration Event - Free Entry

Join us on the 25th October from 4pm, where we will be hosting the Monmouthshire Black History Cymru 365 celebration! This free event will feature songs, poetry, great food, and authentic artisan items from Zimbabwe for purchase - supporting local villages.

The Gathering Community are proud to be hosting this event at our flagship project, the Empowerment Oasis wellbeing hub at the former Tudor Street Day Centre.

Whether it’s learning to send an email, book a GP appointment online, or connect with loved ones through video calls, our team provides practical, patient support every step of the way.

Members of the Brighter Days Social Club can join in for just £5, while non-members are welcome to participate for £7. Each ticket gets you a chance to win fantastic prizes and enjoy the lively, community-focused atmosphere that makes our events so special

Get Confident with Technology

If technology feels confusing or overwhelming, we’re here to help. The Abergavenny Link team offers friendly, one-to-one support with mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and getting online.

You can learn at your own pace, ask questions, and build confidence with everyday digital tasks. We also offer support accessing the Learn My Way platform by the Good Things Foundation.

Every Wednesday from 10am to 12pm.

Celebrate the festive season with us at Empowerment Oasis, our inclusive wellbeing centre, for our special Christmas Decoration Event. No need to wait for some festive cheer!

This is a wonderful opportunity to get into the holiday spirit while connecting with our welcoming community. Whether you love crafting, decorating, or simply enjoying the wonderful atmosphere, there is something for everyone.

There is a £7 entry fee to help fund the event and support the ongoing work of The Gathering Community, ensuring we can continue providing a welcoming space for everyone. Bring your early festive spirit - materials will be provided, and all are invited to share in the magic of the season.

Abergavenny Link is a digital inclusion project for those caught in digital poverty or lacking basic digital skills. This project will be run at Empowerment Oasis, supported by The Gathering Community.

Running each week, starting on an appointment basis

Further details on how to book your appointment will be shared before the end of September but this format will ensure we can provide the right level of service to individuals looking to access the project.

Free of charge

Due to our belief that everyone should have the opportunity to learn digital skills, and as part of the National Digital Inclusion Network, we make no charge for accessing the service.

Some elements of the service will involve specific criteria.

Join us for the grand opening of Brighter Days Social Club - an afternoon of games, snacks, music, and a prize raffle. Lots of fun, laughter, and community guaranteed!

The Brighter Days Social Club will run every fortnight.

Meet new people, catch up with friends, and take part in a range of activities every other Friday. From raffles, games and themed parties to occasional day trips, there’ll always be something to enjoy! 

There will be a club fee of £5.00.

This small fee helps us bring you amazing activities, access to fun games, entry into raffles, and contributions toward subsidised trips and special events. It’s great value for a great time!

Food, Drinks, and Snacks will be available to purchase from our café.
