• On the evening of 25th October we proudly hosted the Monmouthshire Black History Cymru 365 celebration.

  • The weather didn't stop a fantastic turnout from enjoying music, food, poetry and more!

• Bingo comes to the Brighter Days Social Club on 17th October, with lots of prizes to be won!

  • Delicious hot dogs will also be available to order from our café, alongside a range of hot and cold drinks.

• From Wednesday 15th October, our digital inclusion project will be open to the public on an appointment basis.

• The game of Boccia was throughly enjoyed by members of the Brighter Days Social Club on 3rd October.

  • Boccia is a more accessible version of Bocce and it made for a truly entertaining evening!

• Our Bingo Bonanza on 25th September was a truly wonderful night of fun and prizes!

• We had an utterly fantastic soft launch of our digital inclusion project, Abergavenny Link, on 24th September!

  • We’re excited to welcome the public by appointment starting in October.

• On 25th Setember we'll be holding a Bingo Bonanza night, with fanastic prices and a whole lot of fun!

  • Our doors open at 6:00pm, with eyes down from 6:30pm until 9:00pm. 

• The latest Brighter Days Social Club session on 19th September was also our first ever gaming event!

  • Alongside popular boardgames, there was pool and table football, with console gaming to boot.

• Our digital inclusion project, Abergavenny Link, is having a soft launch on 24th September for attendees.

  • We will then be opening the project to the public, on an appointment basis, in October.

• The Brighter Days Social Club meeting on 5th September brought with it a groove-tastic Karaoke session.

  • So many members took to the microphone and sang the evening away. Who said pop is dead?

• The Gathering Community team will be launching a Board Game Café later this year. Let the dice roll!

  • Funding has been secured and we'll be reaching out to local gaming groups in the months ahead.

• Another session with the Brighter Days Social Club on 22nd August brought with it much fun and laughter.

  • With a general knowledge quiz that was enjoyed by all the teams - with Freaky Fridays victorious!

• Our project Abergavenny Link, focused on digital inclusion, will soft launch in September. More news to follow!

  • Together with the National Digital Inclusion Network, we are addressing the digital divide locally.

• The first Brighter Days Social Club was a huge success on 8th August. An amazing turnout with great food.

  • We’re looking forward to what is sure to be another fantastic gathering on 22nd August. 

• We held an open day on 17th July, showing the amount of process that has been made since opening.

  • This was a wonderful day, enjoyed by attendees and embraced by our valued external partners.

• It was decided that the centre would become our flagship project in June 2025.

  • The name Empowerment Oasis was given to the hub, which is supported by The Gathering Community.

• Numerous events, clubs, and projects have been run at the centre since the start of 2025.

  • With many more to come, including the Brighter Days Social Club and our forthcoming digital inclusion project.
